St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Pazhayapally Ahmadi, Kuwait, its beginning back to 1934. It is a parish of Malankara Orthodox Church, which is founded by St.Thomas , the Apostle of Jesus Christ in AD 52. The journey of Orthodox Christians from Malankara (Kerala) to the Gulf began with the development of the Gulf countries. Our parish traces its beginnings back to 1934 when Kuwait Oil Company started. Our Parish in under the diocese of Calcutta. St.Thomas Indian Orthodox Pazhayapally is located in Ahmadi, the oil rich area in Kuwait. Around 650 members were registered with Parish. Brief Church History 1934 Orthodox and other Christian believers in Ahmadi started a Prayer Group 26th may 1950 Prayer Group named as Orthodox Syrian Christian Congregation with 36 members 14th May 1950 First Holy Qurbana by Rev.V.
